Where can I find more information about employment opportunities?

Our web site has a page dedicated to career opportunities for both American and Turkish nationals.  For American nationals, we will accept your resume directly from our web site.  Additionally, the employment application form can be downloaded and filled out prior to any interview.  For prospective Turkish national employees, current openings are also posted on the careers page.  For the time being, however, the application and instructions must be downloaded from our site and mailed to the address shown.

Where are some of the places where VBR has offices? 

VBR is the government contractor providing base maintenance support to three locations within the Republic of Turkey.  Our locations page graphically shows the location of each site with a link providing additional information to those locations.   The three locations are: Adana (Incirlik), Ankara, and Izmir.

What kind of housing is available?

Most of the housing near the contract sites is apartment type living.  Turkish apartments (flats) tend to be larger than what most Americans are used to, though there are exceptions of course.  Typical homes average about 250-300 sq.mtrs. in size.  Rental costs vary by locale, but average between $150 and $500 per month plus utilities.

Who is VBR and what kind of business are they in?

Vinnell, Brown and Root are an Air Force contractor providing base maintenance support to three locations within the Republic of Turkey.  The company is a joint venture between The Vinnell Corporation and Brown and Root Services, Inc.  For more information, see our page on the history of the company.

Does VBR do business, or have openings in other countries?

VBR itself does not conduct business outside of the three sites within Turkey.  It is possible that one or both of VBR's parent companies do.  You may wish to visit their sites:  (Vinnell Corporation and Brown and Root Services, Inc.)

How can my family come with me if I so desire?

Most contract hired positions allow you to bring your family if so desired, with the base and surrounding communities providing ample logistical support.  Many positions offer different and varied benefits.  If you have specific questions about a prospective job, we encourage to contact one of our offices listed on the contacts page.
