Job Description: Supervise and manage the Liquid Fuel Maintenance activities of all liquid fuel storage and dispensing systems. This includes tanks, pumps, piping, hydrant outlets, pantographs, fuel oil separators, electrical and mechanical hardware, automatic tank gauges, calibration, and tank cleaning. Read and interpret drawings and specifications. Formulate a Recurring Work Program (RWP). Use IWMS to schedule and track RWP, DSWs (Direct Schedule Work), and work orders. Ensure compliance with all USAF maintenance regulations and Technical Orders, host nation and USAF environmental regulations, OSHA, USAF safety directives, and NFPA standards. Additional related duties may also be assigned.
Qualifications: Must have a good working knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical principles that apply to operations, maintenance and repair of liquid fuels systems.
Must understand the physiological effects, characteristics and hazards of liquid products.
Must understand the use and interpretation of wiring and schematic diagrams, blue prints, and technical publications.
Knowledge of electrical theory and supply procedures and procurement of fuels materials are required.
Shall have a working knowledge of host nation requirements and NFPA standards as applicable to maintaining fuel systems.
Valid US and international drivers licenses.
Location: Moron Base Civil Engineering
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen
Experience: Ten years experience as a qualified liquid fuels systems maintenance technician.
Experience must include the cleaning and internal inspection of petroleum storage and distribution.
Mechanical, electrical, controls, and fire prevention expertise is required. A minimum of 5 years of that experience must be in supervising maintenance, repair and modification of US Air Force or commercially equal, constant pressure-type hydrant refueling system.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have completed USAF Courses Liquid Fuels Maintenance Apprentice and Liquid Fuel Storage Tank Entry Supervisor Course or equivalent.
Must have completed or capable of obtaining confine space training and able to work in a confine spaces.
Basic knowledge of Spanish language is desirable.
Security Clearance: Must have or be capable of obtaining a US security clearance of SECRET.
