Job Description: Responsible for: establishing/managing comprehensive engineering design program/schedule for projects accomplishment by contract; assigning, scheduling, and monitoring design projects to be accomplished by both in-house engineers/architects and A&E firms; administering a complete CAD/surveying section; reviewing/approving specifications, statements of work, drawings, and cost estimates; preparing design packages for contractual award; performing technical evaluations on contractors’ proposal packages; briefing project design status to upper management personnel; participating in Maintenance Engineering activities as required; etc. Also responsible for engineering requirements in support of USAF operations and management requirements as a senior supervisory engineer.

Qualifications:

Location: Moron, Spain

Citizenship:

Experience: Shall have at least 8 years professional engineering experience in real property/facilities project design, construction management/inspection, specification writing and other related engineering activities. Of the 8 years, at least 2 years shall be in supervisory engineering design management, and it is preferred that at least 4 years be in USAF Civil Engineering. Shall be familiar with US Government design and construction procedures, practices and codes. Shall become familiar with applicable host nation and USAF environmental regulations. Shall have knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA standards.

Education: BS or higher degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Architecture from an ABET accredited college/university.
Shall have PE or RA registration in one of the United States.

Security Clearance: Shall have or be capable of obtaining a “US Secret” security clearance.
